Conference Overview

The heart and soul of the TIADA Conference is our education. We love our speakers almost as much we love our dealer attendees. Dealers at the conference always leave talking about the quantity and quality of education we have to offer. From owners and GM’s to the newest greenhorn staffers, the TIADA Conference has something for everyone. We are looking for the best and brightest minds in the industry to be a part of our event, and we are thrilled that you want to speak at this year’s conference.

It wouldn’t be fair if we didn’t mention this part. It will help you (and us) be successful. Our education hall is a “No Sales Zone” and it’s strictly enforced by angry attendees texting us about it and whole lot of stink eye. If your program ends with our attendees needing to hire you to be successful, you might be a better fit in our expo hall. You can email us and we will make sure we set you up with a booth if one is available and that you have a great conference.

APPLY TO SPEAK

Submitting Your Proposal

Great, let’s get down to business. You will need the following items to complete an application:

Session Title – We may work with you to tweak this, so we get the most out of marketing your session.

Session Description – Up to 75 words, again we may massage this one before it goes in the program.

Main Key Points and Takeaways – Be specific on the form and briefly tell us what our attendees will learn or how it will help their business.

Contact Info – We probably know you, but just in case we don’t.

About the Speaker(s) – In 150 words or less tell us about your experience and include a brief bio so we can tell our attendees how lucky they are to hear you.

Speaking Opportunities

We pride ourselves on offering various learning environments and styles at our conference. We have a healthy mix of the traditional sit and get breakout sessions, panel discussions, roundtable networking, and small group Q&A learning environments, but we are open to new cutting-edge ideas. Select a traditional session OR pitch us something out of the box. Either way, apply soon, these spots will fill up fast!

 Session types:
* 50-Minute Traditional Presentation
* 50-Minute Interview with Q&A
* 50-Minute Panel Discussion
* 60-90 Minute Keynote Address
* Other (Let’s get creative)

Materials and Slides

We have designed a marketing pallet that all presenters must use. This includes all the onsite material that is distributed as well as the slides for your PowerPoint if you have one. We usually have a big smile when we tell presenters about our “No Sales Zone” but don’t mistake our friendliness for a “wink-wink” – we mean business. All slides and material that will be distributed during your session must be submitted to TIADA no later than June 25th. And now a brief word from our attorney: TIADA may record, photograph, and video tape during the conference including but not limited to presentations, social events, and the exhibit hall. Those recording, pictures, and videos shall be the exclusive property of TIADA.

Headshot
If selected you must submit a professional photo within two weeks of being accepted as a presenter. Our attorney also says we have to tell you we will use this photo to help promote the conference; consider it done. Must be high resolution, professional headshot, from the chest up.

Article/Blog
We want our attendees talking about you before the conference and strongly encourage all selected presenters to submit an original article for our blog, Texas Dealer magazine, Facebook or LinkedIn. And if you agree to promote our conference through social media channels you will immediately jump to the top of the list of our favorite presenters for this year.

Selection Process / Notification

We start marketing our education sessions for our conference in early March so most of our speakers will be selected by the end of that month. But, this process has some moving parts and sometimes it takes us a little longer. We understand that you have a life too, so feel free to give us a call or shoot us an email and we will let you know where we are at in the process.

Compensation

Whoa now, you didn’t think we would forget about this did you? While most speakers would gladly pay to present at this conference, we don’t think that is fair. So, selected speakers will receive a full Conference Registration, one-night stay in a standard room at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, Texas and reimbursement for standard travel to and from the conference. All incidental expenses are the speaker’s responsibility. If for some reason this doesn’t work for your needs or you have a special request please let us know and we review each request individually.
