Harlene Doane is the Chief Operations Officer of DealerStrong, and the previous Editor and Director for Auto Dealer Monthly magazine. She continues to write to automotive audiences. Harlene’s experience as a dealership controller (franchise, independent, and BHPH dealerships) has given her a thorough understanding of how all operations should flow through accounting properly. Throughout her dealership tenure, she fulfilled many other roles, such as general manager, finance manager, underwriter, and used vehicle buyer. Harlene is recognized as an expert on dealership accounting topics and DMS systems. Today, she consults with with numerous dealers and dealership personnel, solving complex accounting, dealership processes, and personnel problems, all while focusing on the bottom line.
