San Antonio, Texas
Presented by Robert Beck and Nelsen Simonsen – Dealer Principals – Stop N’ Drive Motors
Robert and Nelsen have been business partners since 1996 and have run a successful dealership for 18 of those years. In this session, they will explore the keys to operating successfully in a partnership environment. They will address how to set specific parameters to avoid the issue of being deadlocked on decisions, discuss the value of open communication, and show you how to ensure both parties have compatible values. You will also learn how to consider potentially thorny discussions about profits and splitting responsibilities and how to best handle these from the outset of any business partnership.
-Management-
Presented by Ronald Heider – President – HMA – Heider Marketing & Advertising
With competition fierce and attention spans low, online video can help you reach car buyers while they’re doing what they love to do – consuming video. Ron will show you the subtle differences in video platforms and what specific types of video content car buyers are looking for in each. He will prove creating a video does not have to be a huge production by walking attendees through a hands-on workshop. Everyone will leave with useful tips and the tools needed to create sales-driving video campaigns.
The first 30 attendees will receive a copy of Ron’s book “On Target – Tips & Strategies for Better Automotive Advertising.”
-Marketing/Technology-
Presented by Corrie Thompson – Director of Enforcement Division – Texas Department of Motor Vehicles
TxDMV Director of Enforcement, Corrie Thompson has seen it all when it comes to dealer violations. She will be the first to tell you that many times the dealer could have accomplished the same objective and stayed compliant if they had only done it the correct way to begin with. This isn’t really a session on what NOT to do, as much as, how to do it and stay compliant.
-Compliance-
Presented by Maggie Pugesek – Partner & Lead Trainer – C&M Coaching
Having a quality collections team keeps the lights on and the business moving forward. Sometimes we have the right people but not the right processes in place to maximize our collection efforts. In this session, Maggie will play a variety of real collection calls, from simple payments to payment arrangements to disagreements with customers, and she’ll discuss best practices for call improvement. You will leave the session with techniques you can implement to easily improve inbound and outbound collection calls, along with simple de-escalation tips so you can increase collections and provide exceptional customer service.
